Yeah so I tried my nvidia gtx 1660 and yeah everything worked perfectly first try.

its a amd ryzen 1600 it doesn’t have an igpu. Although I have a spare gtx 1660 I might try that.

Bazzite has the same issue. Still no display output. And yes I’m sure my hdmi cable is plugged since it still works with safe graphics on and windows works perfectly with no issues.

I feel like a 321 backup is kind of inhibitory specifically 2 different mediums. Hard disks are by far the cheapest and it seams a bit excessive storing your entire database on Ssd’s or something like that.

I don’t really understand the point of this. What kind of logs are you storing and why would you want to?

Yeah I’ve seen this distro seams really good and my main use case is gaming. I will give it a go.

yeah I tried using another display and switching out the display cable didn’t help at all.

Yeah there arn’t many reasons not to switch to Linux but people still won’t because they don’t have any good reason to switch. People just don’t seam to care about there privacy and the idea of open source or know why it’s important. Although I’m hopeful that will change in the future

Another reason is the idea of installing another os is intimidating for a lot of people most people buy a laptop or pc with windows pre installed and they just sign in and go the idea of changing installing an os seams to risky or like too much work. A good comparison is when I tried to convince some of my friends to use firefox one of them uses opera gx and he knows how terrible of a browser it is but he won’t change because he doesn’t want to move all his tabs. Another one just hated the name “firefox” for some reason.

I think there needs to be some legislation done in terms of limiting commercial social media platforms although I’m not sure how someone would go about this. Would they ban social media cites that take peoples data? maybe they should ban cites that display ads? What about making all social media cites to support an open protocol like activity pub or similar so your not locked into using there scummy closed source apps.

No it only has the 6700xt no integrated graphics either so I can’t even test that. I might be able to borrow my friends 3050 for troubleshooting. Although I would still need the 6700xt working even if the 3050 fixes the issue.

Yeah there are a lot although I would still consider myself a beginner at Linux and the terminal so I’m not really sure what the logs mean and which ones specifically I should be looking for.

In safe graphics my resolution is locked on 1024*768 at 60hz, I have a 1080 144 hertz monitor.

And it looks like changing to x11 didn’t fix anything.

Why is supporting wayland so important for a distro?

I personally use organic maps and osmand. Organic maps has traffic which makes it probably your best bet for online navigation but osmand has heaps of more advanced features including topography, weather, osm editing if your into volunteering, Wikipedia and heaps more.
